The tests, revealing underlying problems, include the following:
Physical examination. It consists in thorough penis and testicles examination. Besides, your nerves will be checked for feeling.
Urinalysis. It is a urine test, which helps to reveal whether the patient suffers from the diabetes or not. It can also reveal some other major health troubles.
Blood test. This test consists in taking blood samples and sending them to the laboratory, where it is checked in order to reveal whether you have any heart problems, diabetes, low level of testosterone, or some other problems.
Ultrasound. It is aimed to check the flow of blood to the penis. For this test a special transducer is used. This test provides images, which show the doctor whether any blood flow troubles take place in the process. Sometimes such a test can be combined with injecting medical drugs that help to determine if the flow of blood can normally increase.
Overnight test for erection. It is a known fact, that some men can have an erection during a night, but when they wake up, they do not remember it. That is why, this test is necessary to determine whether a man has erection. It consists in wrapping a penis with a special tape before going to bed. When a man wakes up he should check this tape. If it is separated, he has experienced an erection at night. If it is not separated, a man has not had any erection at night. This test is really essential as indicates that the problem with erection is not physical but psychological.
